Super Robot Taisen MX condenses the formula on PS2. Targeted roster, retuned balance and accessible missions. A nice entry to Banpresto's mecha strategy branch.

Is Super Robot Taisen MX still worth playing in 2026?

A tactical RPG from Banpresto, Super Robot Taisen MX gathers a cast of anime mechs in turn based grid battles, seeking a better balance between tactical depth and accessibility than other denser entries. The thrill of the crossover, the polished attack animations and a more measured difficulty win over fans. The Japanese text and the genre's particular pacing remain drawbacks. A good tactical RPG for fans of the Japanese genre and of animation robots after a more approachable entry.
