Kyle, son of Stahn, leads a quest blending Swordians and time manipulation in this sequel to Tales of Destiny. Flex Range combat and Sakuraba's score; a genuinely successful Tales of Destiny 2 frustratingly Japan-only.

Is Tales of Destiny 2 still worth playing in 2026?

A JRPG from Namco Bandai, Tales of Destiny 2 follows Kyle, son of Stahn Aileron, who sets out to find his missing mother before being caught up in a plot involving time travel. The real time Linear Motion combat system, a Tales series signature, marries snappy action and technical depth, carried by a long adventure and rich writing. Left in Japan, the title demands the language. For a fan of retro action JRPGs or of the Tales series, the title keeps a content generosity and a demanding combat system.
