Namco craft one of the loveliest JRPGs on 360 with a charismatic Yuri Lowell and impeccable anime staging. The real-time combat flows, Motoi Sakuraba's score delights, and this is probably the absolute peak of the Tales of series across all eras on a Microsoft console.

Luminous cel-shading, expressive anime characters and colourful worlds: the Tales series transposes Japanese animation into a warm 3D. The fluidity of the combat and the vividness of the hues compose a welcoming, living universe. This visual direction, polished and energetic, charms well beyond fans of the genre.
Signed by Motoi Sakuraba, the score blends lyrical orchestra and supercharged battle themes across Yuri's epic. From the poignant vocal theme to the nervy clashes, the music embraces every emotion of the story with flair. This melodic generosity, fiery and refined, ranks among the most beloved of the Tales saga.
A former soldier turned vigilante of the slums, a hero chooses his own path, even if it means breaking the law for what he believes is right. The tale questions morality, power and responsibility with a maturity rare for the series. Carried by a charismatic, ambiguous protagonist, it remains one of the most beloved Tales.

Beyond its mature tale carried by Yuri Lowell, the journey piles on side quests, cooking recipes, unlockable titles and brutal optional bosses like the coliseum runs. The Evolved Flex Range system rewards practice with ever-smoother artes, while the European edition adds fresh characters and scenarios. That warm density, never a chore, makes it one of the most cherished Tales entries among fans.

Tales of Vesperia (Xbox 360) price, value & rarity
The North American edition of Tales of Vesperia, which brought Western players one of the series' most appreciated entries on the only console that first hosted it. Before late reissues on other machines, this Xbox 360 version was long the reference for anyone wanting to discover the adventure in English. Its interest owes to this role as the first Western doorway and to the title's lasting desirability.
Is Tales of Vesperia still worth playing in 2026?
An action RPG from Namco Bandai, Tales of Vesperia follows Yuri Lowell, a hero with a personal sense of justice, in an adventure carried by the house Linear Motion Battle System real time combat and gorgeous cel-shading. The depth of the combat system, the character writing and the maturity of the themes make it one of the Tales series' peaks. A few longueurs and period presentation barely temper the whole. An excellent JRPG for fans of snappy combat, careful storytelling and the Tales world.
