High Moon Studios deliver a tenderly nostalgic Transformers with a war-torn Cybertron and a very successful cel-shaded cast. The co-op campaign is a delight, the staging works, and the 360 receives a great tie-in that rehabilitates the old-school Transformers robotic franchise.

Transformers War for Cybertron, a High Moon action game that laid the bases of a respected robot adaptation, also delisted from online stores when the license expired. Its desirability rests on this status as the founder of the cult diptych and the impossibility of acquiring it digitally rather than a print scarcity. A coveted piece for those gathering the console's Transformers games, sought by fans.

Is Transformers - War for Cybertron still worth playing in 2026?

Released in 2010 on Xbox 360, High Moon Studios' Transformers War for Cybertron is the first entry of the duology devoted to the robots' home planet, a third person shooter that finally gave fans an adaptation worthy of the universe. The fluid transformation into a vehicle in the heart of the action and the campaign playable on both the Autobot and Decepticon sides bring real variety. The science fiction art direction and the co op Escalation mode appeal. The multiplayer has shut its servers. But the campaign stays solid. For fans of third person shooting and Transformers devotees, this title keeps a strong appeal today.
