Roaming its first-person dungeons and patiently mapping every corridor takes hours before you can hope to topple Exodus. Leveling your party, hoarding gold and gear imposes a long road where progress is earned tile by tile. That old-school RPG demand, faithful to the genre's roots, gives it an endurance that dungeon-crawler fans still respect.
A port of the third Ultima from FCI, Ultima - Exodus lays the foundations of the Western RPG on console, with the creation of a party of adventurers, the exploration of a vast world and first person dungeons to face in turn based combat. The freedom of approach and the depth of the system marked a break with the Japanese RPGs of the time.
