Collector interest

Taito sequel from 1988 sold in Japan with the Vaus rotary controller, an accessory whose presence governs the value of a complete set. The cartridge alone stays common, but a boxed copy gathering game, paddle and intact manual thins out markedly, since the controller was often separated or broken. Desirability rests on that hardware dependency: it is the integrity of the Vaus set, more than the game, that drives the value up.

Is Arkanoid II still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Taito's legendary brick breaker, Arkanoid II extends the ball and paddle concept with new levels, fresh brick layouts and extra power-ups that energise the action. The purity of the gameplay, the precision of the bounces and the rising intensity keep all their effectiveness, especially with pad handling. The timeless concept has not aged a day. For a brick breaker fan, someone curious about an arcade classic or a player after a reflex challenge, the title keeps a remarkable addiction and readability.
