KOF Maximum Impact 3D sequel with expanded content. New characters and enriched levels improve the experience. Still less competitive than the 2D line but more accomplished than the first 3D entry. For KOF fans wanting to explore the franchise's 3D branch.

Is KOF2 - Maximum Impact II still worth playing in 2026?

Known as Maximum Impact 2 and King of Fighters 2006 in the West, this SNK spin-off moves the saga into 3D combat, with three dimensional arenas, sidesteps and a roster gathering the series' stars as modelled characters. The faithfulness to the emblematic figures, the spectacle of the combos and the snappy staging appeal to fans. The 3D handling, less precise than the original 2D, divides purists. A good fighting game for fans of King of Fighters and spectacular 3D brawling.
