The US cartridge carries the full FMV cinematics of the PC original compressed through a proprietary technique, an unusual feat for the format. The N64 port of Command & Conquer is a quiet tour de force. Fitting Westwood's cult RTS onto a cartridge with a virtual mouse mapped to the analogue stick demanded real adaptation work. Both the GDI and Nod campaigns are intact, the cinematics compressed but present, and map readability stays acceptable on TV.
