Korean RPG from Softmax with polished art direction by Hyung-tae Kim. The war and sacrifice storyline is moving. The real-time combat system is fluid and characters well developed. A quality JRPG unjustly little known outside Asia for genre enthusiasts.

Is Magna Carta still worth playing in 2026?

A Korean RPG from Softmax, Magna Carta Tears of Blood first charms with the sumptuous character design of Hyung-tae Kim and its art direction of great elegance. The combat system built on a timing ring and the war narrative between humans and a magical people give it real identity. The slowness of the system, heavy loading times and an uneven pace temper the adventure. An RPG of striking aesthetics to recommend for fans of strong art direction and atypical Asian JRPGs.
