Story
"Classic"
Every army is a caricature of a real military tradition. Epaulettes and frogging for one, fur hats and long coats for another, jungle fatigues and leafy helmets for the third: the uniform tells a story before the first shot. The heraldic emblems, painted large on fuselages and turrets, make it possible to recognise a side even from very far away.

Addictiveness
"Obsessive"
Deploying your troops across the map, weighing each offensive and aiming for the enemy capital sets up a strategic loop where one battle always calls for the next. Managing resources, terrain and varied units chains tactical goals and rewards. The austerity and the lack of localization put people off, but the finesse of the turn-based war system keeps a tenacious hold for the strategist.
Difficulty
"Balanced"
Lifespan
"Massive"
Working through its turn-based tactical campaigns swallows dozens of hours, since every map demands careful balancing of tanks, infantry and artillery without wasting a single move. The story scenarios and Combined Force mechanic invite replays to optimize each victory, while the local VS mode fuels endless duels with friends. That strategic depth from Intelligent Systems is exactly why Wars devotees still treasure it today.
