Every army is a caricature of a real military tradition. Epaulettes and frogging for one, fur hats and long coats for another, jungle fatigues and leafy helmets for the third: the uniform tells a story before the first shot. The heraldic emblems, painted large on fuselages and turrets, make it possible to recognise a side even from very far away.
Two registers coexist, inherited from the two-dimensional series. The briefing screens and menus keep short, blaring ditties, almost board-game like, while the field switches to a broad orchestral treatment, brass and timpani. A brief chord punctuates every order given, which sets up a permanent dialogue between the voice of command and the background music.

Deploying your troops across the map, weighing each offensive and aiming for the enemy capital sets up a strategic loop where one battle always calls for the next.
